I cannot stress enough how important this part of the overall process is! How well you take care of your permanent makeup following your service will play a HUGE role in color retention.

Before your leave my studio, I will provide you with an aftercare instruction card and goodie bag, with everything you need to care for your new brows, lips, or eyeliner. I understand that the healing process can be a bit confusing and scary. During this time your treated area may be tender, appear faded, or be a little flaky.

I recommend “hydrated healing” for all permanent makeup services. This means washing the treated area morning and night, then applying ointment, for 7 days after your service.

In addition to the hydrated healing routine, there some things you should avoid post-treatment - please find that list below. Remember that your treated area is essentially an open wound, and you want to protect it from bacteria.

Great Brows Aren't Easy.jpg

  • Direct sun exposure

  • Makeup on the treated area

  • Facial cleansers and lotions on the treated area

  • Heavy exercise and excessive sweating

  • Soaking in shower, pools, hot tubs, saunas, and lakes

  • Facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and regenerative/anti-aging creams

I encourage my clients to call, text, or email me with ANY questions. And whatever you do, resist the urge to pick! You will thank yourself later, I promise.
